To Scout or Not to Scout...

Girl Scouts is HUGE where we are living. Seems like 90%of the girls around here do it. I am just trying to fugure out why and if it is a benefit for my girls. Consider Aly has Achievement Days, soccer will be starting soon, & piano also on the horizon. I was a girl scout as a kid and thought it was great. Currently I love girl scout cookies, but is it worth one more thing on the after school agenda?
We went on a hike with a local troop and the girls had a great time. We are at a nature reserve about 3 minutes from home.

Oh girl scouts. I was a brownie scout myself...Mavis was my leader. I had a blast!
But it sounds like you've got on your plate. I would put it to the girls, make sure they understand how busy life is and it would get busier. Hmmmm...good luck!
P.S. Thin mints rock!!!

That's a tough one. It's difficult to make choices between good & good...sometimes too much of a good thing is just overwhelming, BUT little girls can always use good influences & good role models. I think Becky is right, you might want to include the girls on this one, but Mom always gets the final say. (you are the one who gets to run them from place to place)

I say YES! Do it! You can always bail if it gets crazy. I wish my ma would have let me do it...
Would it even be a question if you had a son? Lots of life lessons will be learned from all the new leaders and friends. Also, a chance for them to be an influence in others' lives...
DO IT!
