Yesterday after Aly's soccer practice, the girls & I needed a fix of Dave & Annette. So 2 hours later, we made it. We were able to meet the cute kids D&A are fostering for the next little while. We hit this fabulous park that had a petting zoo, fish to feed, playground, & random I know but a fruit stand/shop. Yummo, we taste tested the watermelon, oranges, pumpkin roll, chips & salsa, & everything else we could get our grubby hands on.

Seriously love this picture! For starters I think it is my favorite picture I have of Annette, isn't she great! Heather appears to be "the calm within the storm." After her we get Josh, Aly, & Elora each in their own special world. And finally to Dave. Not sure why but I get this pose alot from each of my brothers

Quick story! Mike & I have always lived in the city versus country since being married. So our kids have grown up in the city. Annette's parents live pretty rural here in CA, to be specific in dairy country. So when we attended Dave's birthday at Coder's the smell was at first wiff overwhelming. In the car we rolled down the windows to enjoy the beautiful weather and we each were quick to acknowledge the error in our ways. Up went the windows. After a few minutes we adjusted and were great.

So as we pulled into town to see D&A I told the girls we were about 5 min away. The first thing out of each of their mouths in some form was, is this country? I looked around and saw fields on both sides to I replied YES and I rolled down the window. They both immediately screamed NO! Of course we were assaulted with the aroma of cows. Heather quickly covered her nose and Aly had that automatic gag reflex kick in, where you kinda throw up in your throat. And being the amazing mother that I am, I start laughing. YAY for the counrty!
