Merry Christmas Eve!!!

Merry Christmas! This year was our first Christmas (except in 2000 when Aly was born 3 days after Christmas) with no traveling and no family. BIG change for us . We really did miss all the Grandmas, Aunts, Uncles, cousins, Christmas parties, game nights, food, and fun. We enjoyed skype and phone with those of you we could catch. We did love the extra time with our little family. We hope you had a beautiful Christmas with people you love.
The day before Christmas we met a bunch of friends at the park and played. Parents & kids enjoyed tag, dodge ball, master of the house, and climbing the play structure. I kept thinking it was crazy that on Dec. 23 I was ok having my kids play outside with out coats or jackets. Then I spoke with my sister Becky on the phone and she was trying not to be bitter, but the high in Montana where she lives was expected to be ZERO. Sorry friend!
We started the Christmas Eve afternoon with a craft. Shocker I know!!! The girls enjoyed painting these little ceramic creatures which Heather later left as a gift for Santa.
Later we made delicious sugar cookies to frost & eat until we all had tummy aches. YUMM-O!!!These were the spoils the girls left for Santa. Believe it or not the Coke was the girls idea... Lucky Santa!!! I think the girls took great care of Santa & the reindeer.
Merry Christmas to all & to all a great night!!!

Santa was probably awesome to you guys. Our plate wasn't nearly that cool. Although, it was Lainee's idea to leave out chocolate chips for the reindeer. Glad you guys had a great Christmas!
