Each home has it's own built-in's, paint color, or quirks left from the previous owner. Well ours has a few extra sweet surprises!!! We now live in "a good Christian home!" I am not referring to the tenants, I am referring to the building itself. My born again Christian friend, Cindy smiled after seeing our home and told me it was "a good Christian home" and I think she may be right!
In the front yard you can see where the previous owners built a brick porch of sorts and bricked in a subtle yet beautiful cross.
In the pool we get to swim with what we affectionately refer to as a "Jesus Fish."We are looking for a name for this little guy. Give us your suggestions!
Dave suggested Moby and Aly suggested Hey Sus
(I miss spelled that intentionally, but you get the humor!)
After a few days talking about our "Jesus fish" Heather asked why Jesus had a fish. We told her it was a symbol and that Jesus taught us to be "fishers of men." She replied, "so I thought Jesus was a Shepard not a Fisherman!"
And all over the back yard these nasty thorny sticks have sprouted up. I took a branch into a local nursery and after checking their books and googleing the thing. The gentleman came to the conclusion that these are Jerusalem Tree's. The gentleman didn't want to get "too Biblical " on me, but told me they are the type of branch that the thorny crown placed on Jesus' head would have come from.
And along with all the Christian symbols abounding at our house comes our new little pet dragon, Puff. Is it just me or do you see the irony too???
That is why we have "A GOOD CHRISTIAN HOME!"

I think the bookshelves at the top of the stairs is the smartest thing I've ever seen. Seriously genius.

How nice it must be to have a pool you don't have to blow up, fill, and take down every day. You have a beautiful home, love all your symbols.
