Yosemite

My brother Dave & his sweet wife Annette live about 2 hours from us here in CA.  Since we moved here 3 years ago we both have tried to make seeing each other a priority.  Of course lapses happen but when our families are together, we have the best time.  I knew Dave was looking for work in ID, but when I received the text from Annette with the news of an amazing job offer I was both thrilled for their opportunity and heart sick at my coming loss!  I immediately felt lonely!  As I tried to take as much of their remaining CA time we quickly realized that THEY were busy!  But we did squeeze in one last hurrah!  

YOSEMITE

The Cahoon girls had not visited before and we loved it!  It was beautiful!!!  We hiked to Mist Falls, at least up until the snow, ice, and potential fall to death that stopped us.

 We ate our lunch on this really big rock.  The view was amazing.  I bet dining here in the summer is fantastic!  There is a wonderful breeze that comes through that will chill you to the bone!  We stuck it out until Mike & Aly were hiding behind a rock and Dave, Heather, & my fingers were numb.
